I enjoy creating colourful pieces of art inspired by nature and my surroundings here in Silverdale. I work from a tiny home studio with my rescue collie dog by my side. I find inspiration in the coastal scenery, the nearby mountains and the countryside. I like to include the details of nature in my work. When painting I try to include a little bit of magic that I find in the places that inspire me. I paint using watercolour and enjoy the various techniques and colour effects that the medium allows. I enjoy using pattern and colour boldly, often using watercolour and acrylic together on the same painting. I find acrylic gives a lovely texture to my finished work.

I became a member of The Silverdale Art Group in 2021. I have enjoyed the support and friendship of my fellow artists and have experimented with new techniques when taking part in workshops.
